The Toronto police have announced they will have a “significant” presence at Sunday’s Walk with Israel and there will undoubtedly be many at United Jewish Appeal’s march who should be arrested.
Pandering to the genocidaires “antisemitism” frenzy, the Toronto police held a press conference Friday to announced they will have large numbers of cops at the Jewish supremacist event. Deputy Chief Frank Barredo said, “members of the public can expect to see officers on foot, bicycle and horseback at the walk and throughout the surrounding neighbourhoods.” Barredo also announced that undercover cops would be on site for a march they think will face 50-150 counter protesters.
While those are not the bad guys, there will be many people on hand who’ve committed serious crimes. Among the tens of thousands expected, there will likely be dozens who’ve fought with the criminal Israeli army. According to a recent Israeli military assessment, over 1,500 individuals with Canadian citizenship serve in the IOF and an unknown number have fought over the years. Under Canada’s War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity Act the police could seek to arrest any of these cretins who attend.
In the UK Green Party leader Zack Polanski, Your Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, Labour MP John McDonnell and independent MP Diane Abbott recently joined a call for the British government to investigate British citizens who have served in the IOF. The public letter calls on the Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary to “track the movements of Brits who have served in the IDF.”
There will also be many leaders, organizers and funders of the $400 million a year Canada to Israel charity pipeline, which is rife with illegality. In the latest example, the Canada Revenue Agency just revoked the charitable status of the Everlight Charitable Foundation, formerly David Hofstedter Family Foundation. With opaque financing, the charity sent tens of millions of dollars to Israel.
Corruption among Israel-focused charities is so endemic there’s a “burner charity phenomenon”. According to Professors Miles Howe and Paul Sylvestre, “much like burner phones, burner charities appear disposable and readily replaceable. Tracking three burner charities (Gates of Mercy, Beth Oloth, and the Jewish Heritage Foundation) across two decades, we outline a relationship of activity and dormancy, wherein once an active burner charity has its charitable status revoked a subsequent burner charity is activated in its place.” Howe estimates that “between 15-25% of all donations moving from Canada to Israel are unaccountable and potentially illicit.”
The police could put out a dragnet to bring in some of the leading players in the Canada to Israel charity pipeline.
During their Friday press conference, the police threatened to arrest anyone engaged in “hate” at the march. Barredo said hate crime experts will be present “to examine what is being said, examine what signage exists, and to take the appropriate action.” The deputy police chief added that those who attended last year’s walk were subjected to a “gauntlet of hate”.
But in past years overt hate has largely come from Zionists. Among many examples I’ve written about, during last year’s genocide walk a van depicting Muslims stated, “Wake up Canada. You are under siege.”
Four years ago I wrote about Israel flag-waving walk participants who crossed the street to berate a half dozen Hasidic Jews holding a Palestinian flag. One woman waved a small Israeli flag at them yelling “you’re a shame on Jewish people” while another Zionist repeatedly said, “Hitler made a big mistake, you should have been in the gas chambers.”
More broadly those “walking with Israel” are supporting war crimes. In response to the “gauntlet of hate” claim, Matthew Sloly posted, “The ‘gauntlet of hate’ is the march in support of a genocidal apartheid state, not those protesting it. It’s against the law to incite or be a party to genocide. Unfortunately, Canada is a hypocritical, racist, corrupt, lawless country, from its police to its politicians.”
