Is it criminal to call on the Canada Revenue Agency to investigate registered charities violating the Income Tax Act? That seems to be the position of Unapologetically Jewish.
On Wednesday, Matthew Taub of Unapologetically Jewish held a press conference on Parliament Hill to attack grassroots activist group Just Peace Advocates (JPA). The opening line in their release says they are “calling on the CRA and RCMP to examine” JPA and Taub repeatedly suggested the anti-genocide group has engaged in some criminality. Taub said that he’d reached out to both the RCMP and US authorities about JPA.
An authoritarian genocidal Jewish supremacist, Taub is angry JPA is effectively challenging the Canada to Israel charity pipeline. Around 250 registered charities raise approximately $350 million a year for projects in Israel. Dozens of these groups are violating existing CRA rules by supporting the IOF, racist organizations, municipalities and West Bank colonies (or have poor financial practices). Hundreds of other Canadian-focused Jewish charities promote the Israeli military.
Over the past few years JPA has done amazing work raising awareness about Zionist charities. JPA charity researcher Miles Howe has been on CBC and other outlets discussing the subject. He has also spoken on Parliament Hill about Zionist charities.
JPA has submitted evidence to the CRA detailing how dozens of charities have violated CRA rules. A series of them have lost their charitable status.
Taub and other Zionists are angry and want to insulate genocidal Jewish supremacist charities from CRA rules. To do so Taub is pushing to undercut the CRA’s independence. He called for “parliamentary committees to examine how complaints against charities are assessed, how audits are initiated and whether safeguards exist to prevent regulators from being used as political weapons.”
Concurrently, Taub is attacking the messenger. During the presser he repeatedly associated JPA with “terror” organizations. He said the advocacy organization has ties to the Vancouver based grassroots group Samidoun Palestinian Political Prisoners Network, which the Justin Trudeau government outrageously listed as a terrorist organization two years ago (Samidoun was listed for allegedly having ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine). Taub also suggested JPA has ties to Hamas.
It’s not just Unapologetically Jewish linking JPA to “terrorism” because of its work in exposing the Canada to Israel Charity pipeline. On Tuesday Honest Reporting Canada published “Canadian Accountant Magazine Relies On Just Peace Advocates, A Group Criticized For Defending Two Terrorist Organizations, To Cast Suspicion On Jewish Charity.” Similarly, five days ago NGO Monitor published “Two Weeks of Rage: Meet the NGOs Targeting Jewish Institutions in Canada and Partnering with a Terrorist Organization”. The NGO Monitor report also criticized JPA.
Zionists are right to panic about the group leading the fight against Zionist charities in Canada. Large sums are being subsidized by the public. According to charity lawyer Mark Blumberg, 1,000 Jewish charities have $12 billion in assets and most of these groups promote an apartheid state committing genocide. It’s a scandal the public is subsidizing so many groups promoting apartheid. In fact, charitable subsidies are the most significant and odious form of Canadian support for the Jewish supremacist state.
It’s imperative to defend Just Peace Advocates from authoritarian Zionists and to work to disrupt the Canada to Israel charity pipeline.
